There are many opportunities for volunteers to make a difference through services that help employees, patients, and visitors within the hospital. There are also opportunities to help out in the community through health education programs and services. Volunteers also sponsor fund-raising projects and special events to raise funds for hospital and the Partner's scholarships.

Our Volunteer Services staff work with volunteers to find the best "job" that best fits their interests, skills, and schedules. Volunteers are required to complete an interview, application, health history, TB skin test, general orientation, and specific orientation and training for their particular position.

There are a variety of opportunities from which a volunteer can choose. The time commitment can vary, depending upon each person's schedule and availability.

Our volunteer organization has a long tradition of caring and giving. It was formed in 1967, one year before the present hospital opened. Today, it is made up of nearly 120 women and men who give freely of their time, skills, and energies to support the hospital and its mission.

Many teenagers donate time and energies to the hospital during the summer months. Volunteens must be 14 years of age and commit to two hours of volunteer service a week. Registration for the Volunteen Program begins each May and ends June 3 for 2011.  The current year's registration form can be found at the link below.
