Black River Memorial Hospital’s Outpatient Laboratory and Inpatient Medical Surgical and Obstetrics Departments are Honored as 5-Star Excellence Award Winners
Black River Memorial Hospital’s Outpatient Laboratory, Inpatient Medical Surgical and Obstetrics departments were named 2010 Professional Research Consultants (PRC) 5-Star Award Winners for Patient Perception at a luncheon in San Diego, California. Hospital leaders from across the United States gathered to participate in the 2010 PRC Excellence in Healthcare Conference. PRC is a nationally-known healthcare marketing research company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska.
The PRC selected the Outpatient Laboratory, Inpatient Medical Surgical and Obstetrics departments for the 5-Star award based on the percentage of patients who rated them as “Excellent” for their “Overall Quality of Care.” This type of research is conducted to obtain the opinions of the patients at Black River Memorial Hospital via telephone for a confidential interview to assess their perceptions of patient care. The research findings are then presented to the hospital to use in continuous improvement and enhancement of patient satisfaction.
President and CEO of the PRC, Joe M. Inguanzo, Ph.D., said, “We are so proud of Black River Memorial Hospital and are thrilled to present them with these National Excellence in Healthcare Awards. It takes years of dedication, determination and hard work to achieve this level of success. Congratulations to the hospital and staff for their commitment to improving healthcare services.”
