ED PHYSICIAN

Practice Specifics:

  • Six 24 hour ED shifts per month
  • Average 11,000 patients through ED and Urgent Care per year- 2/3 ED and 1/3 Urgent Care
  • Joint Commission accreditation level IV trauma center
  • Family Medicine with ED experience or Emergency Medicine
  • Experienced support staff including RN, HUC, PCTs, Advanced Practice Providers, Social Workers, CRNAs, RTs, and Paramedics
  • Radiology, including CT and MR, and labs available on site
  • Hospital is committed to educational aspects of medicine and participates in the preceptorship program through a nearby medical school
  • Sign-on bonus, relocation, malpractice and tail insurance paid for

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING RAD TECH

Black River Memorial Hospital has an immediate opening for a Diagnostic Imaging Radiologic Technologist.  This is a part time position working 46-50 hours per pay period which includes every other weekend and some holiday.  This position is benefited.  The Diagnostic Imaging Radiologic Technologist performs radiology examinations following hospital and radiology standards when ordered by a physician or other allied health practitioners for diagnostic purposes as directed by the Radiologist. 

Essential Duties:

  • Communicates pertinent patient information promptly to appropriate technologist and/or radiologist.
  • Prepares and maintains departmental records, reports, statistics, logs, files and other documents as required in written and computer format.
  • Performs CT scans without supervision.
  • Demonstrates skill and knowledge in administration of IV contrast material.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registration as a Radiologic Technologist (American Registry or Radiologic Technology-ARRT) is required within 6-months of employment.
  • Current licensed Wisconsin RT (R) or within 2 months of employment.

FINANCE DIRECTOR

Don't miss this opportunity to join the Black River Memorial Hospital team that has been voted one of the top hospitals to work at the last six years straight.  Black River Memorial Hospital is seeking a director in our Finance department.  The Finance Director meets patients, physicians, staff and organization need by leading, planning organizing, developing and directing the activities of the Finance department.  The director uses constructive leadership skills to assist the department in fulfilling the hospitals mission and meet established annual and long term objectives.  This position assists with the overall financial operations of BRMH, including accounting, budget, year-end audit preparation, forecasting, cost report preparation, preparation of the annual operating budget and other financial planning activities within the organization, including management, direction and leadership of the Finance department (general ledger, accounts payable, reimbursement, and budgeting).  This is a full time, benefits eligible position. 

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required, MBA or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • CPA or CHFP preferred.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in healthcare finance or accounting.
  • Three years of supervisory and/or management experience required.

Essential Duties:

  • Develops department goals in conjunction with establishing/implementing/ developing/revising processes policies and procedures for department operations in alignment with the hospital's strategic goals.  Provides leadership, vision, development and implementation of short and long term planning for the organization.
  • Oversees the day-to-day management of department staff and coaches staff and plans for staff succession.
  • Ensures department and employees are in compliance with all regulatory accreditation and licensing agencies by preparing and maintaining pertinent records, reports, statistics, contracts, files and other documents for the department. 
  • Works with department directors and the CFO in managing the annual budget.  Plans, prepares and manages annual financial audit.  Assist other departments in statistics, information, assistance, and guidance in submission of budget.
  • Prepares monthly financial reports and related analyses of income, expenditures, assets and liabilities, with comparisons to both budget and to previous periods.  Makes appropriate recommendations regarding possible methods of increasing revenue or of decreasing deductions from revenue and operating expenses.
  • Maintains departmental reports and records and collects statistical data for administrative and regulatory purpose. Supervises the financial reporting to external reporting organizations.

NUTRITION SERVICES DIRECTOR

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field.
  • Three years related management experience.
  • Completion of dietary manager's program and certification by Dietary Managers Association and the State of Wisconsin is required.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and Certified Food Protection Professionals (CFPP) required.

Essential Duties:

  • Develops department goals in conjunction with establishing/implementing/ developing/revising processes policies and procedures for department operations in alignment with the hospital's strategic goals.  Provides leadership, vision, development and implementation of short and long term planning for the organization.
  • Oversees the day-to-day management of department staff, coaches staff and plans for staff succession.  Resolves personnel problems.  Selects and hires quality employees.  Coordinates orientation, training, and education for staff.  Schedules work for effective and efficient department operations.
  • Ensures department and employees are in compliance with all regulatory accreditation and licensing agencies by preparing and maintaining pertinent records, reports, statistics, contracts, files and other documents for the department. 
  • Reviews services, billing and other aspects of programs to ensure department is cost effective, productive and compliant.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates financial practices according to established standards.  Plans researches and requests purchases for department capital and operational equipment/supplies.
  • Collaborates with dietitian regarding nutritional needs of patients, quality assurance, quality control studies and policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST
