The position is full-time, 80 hrs per pay period, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m, Monday through Friday and benefits eligible.  Duties include assisting in day-to-day coordination of the Homecare/Hospice Programs by providing routine scheduling, clerical work, preparing and maintaining accurate records.

Respiratory Department

Black River Memorial Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team and travel with us on our journey to "Excellence Always".  The position is full time, 72 hours per pay period, and includes weekend and holiday rotation.  Position includes the Hospital's generous benefit package.

SOCIAL WORKER-MSW- Homecare/Hospice

Homecare/Hospice Department

A full-time Social Worker position is now available at Black River Memorial Hospital in our Homecare/Hospice Department.  This position is 72 hours per pay period, day shift hours. The position includes the Hospital's generous benefit package. 

Duties include performing initial psychosocial evaluations and assists in the development and implementation of interdisciplinary care plan. Conducting ongoing assessment of patient and family psychosocial needs and provides counseling as necessary based on patient and family needs. Assisting in the development and provision of bereavement support.

Qualifications include:

  •   Master's Degree in social work from an accredited school of social work
  • Three-five years clinical or management experience.
  • One-three years experience with Hospice/End of Life Care preferred.
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License and proof of insurability.

Duties include helping to meet the social, economic and emotional needs of patients and their families.  A member of the Palliative Care Team, which includes making home visits.

  • Master's Degree in Social Work with LCSW or working toward their LCSW
  • 2-3 years related experience in a healthcare setting preferred

PHARMACIST

Pharmacy Department

A full-time Pharmacist position is now available at Black River Memorial Hospital.  This position is 80 hours per pay period, exempt, hours of work are noon to 8:00pm, Monday - Friday, no weekends or holidays. The position includes the Hospital's generous benefit package.

Duties include providing specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes, including, but not limited to advising physicians on issues concerning drug therapy, the inherent toxicity of drugs and their side effects, as well as assisting in the prescription of appropriate doses.

 Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S) in a five year pharmaceutical program from an accredited college of pharmacy. New graduates are welcomed to apply.
  • Hospital pharmacy residency preferred.
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Wisconsin.

NURSE PRACTITIONER OR PHYSICIAN'S ASSISTANT

Emergency Department

Black RiverMemorialHospital in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, located in the western part of the state along I-94 between La Crosse and Eau Claire in beautiful God's country, has an immediate opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant.  This is a part-time, non-benefited position including every fourth weekend and every fourth holiday.  The hours of work are 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. The provider will evaluate and treat patients of all ages with minor medical, surgical and emergency conditions as well as a wide range of patient types including, emergency, urgent care, occupational, employees and Department of Corrections.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner educational program
  • Current, valid, unrestricted license from the State of Wisconsin; current board certification from NCCPA for PA or current board certification from ANCC, ANA, or AANP for NP must be achieved within 18 months of hire; and current unrestricted DEA
  • Certifications:  BLS required; CALS with trauma module certification by itself or all three of the following certifications: ATLS, PALS, & ACLS must be provided within 6 months of hire
  • Minimum of three years clinical experience required.  Urgent Care, Emergency, and Primary Care Experience preferred.

The CFO oversees the finance, revenue cycle, environmental and purchasing departments and works collaboratively with all departments in the hospital.

 Our candidate will possess:

  • Master's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited four-year college or university. If a Bachelor's degree, will need to complete an MBA or MHA within 5 years.
  • A minimum of 7-years progressive, related experience and leadership/management responsibilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of healthcare financial management, third-party reimbursement, information systems, and generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of hospital and clinical patient care principles and practices.

  • Knowledgeable in risk management policies, procedures and practices.
  • Knowledgeable in contemporary supervisory, management and administrative principles and practices.
  • Excellent computer skills in a variety of software programs across a variety of applications.
