EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT REGISTERED NURSE 

Black River Memorial Hospital has an immediate opening in our Emergency Department for a Registered Nurse.  The position is part-time, non- benefited, 16 hours per pay period   Hours of work are 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. every other weekend and holiday. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Associates Degree in Nursing
  • Current Wisconsin RN License
  • BLS within 6 months, ACLS within 1 year and NRP Certification within 2 years
  • Cardiac arrhythmia certification within 6 months to 1 year

HEALTH UNIT COORDINATOR 

Black River Memorial Hospital is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) in our Med/Surg Department.  The position is part-time, 12 hours per pay period, 6:00 pm to 6:00 am every 3rd weekend, non-benefited.

RESOURCE NURSE 

Consider joining our compassionate care team at Black River Memorial Hospital where we have an immediate opening for a part-time Resource Nurse in our Medical Surgical Department.  Hours of work are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm every third weekend, 12 hours per pay period, non-benefited. 

The Resource Nurse provides oversight and leadership among the ER, Med/Surg and OB departments.  The Resource Nurse manages available nursing resources and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to provide quality, cost effective patient care.

RESPIRATORY CARE PRACTITIONER 

Black River Memorial Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our Durable Medical Equipment Department and travel with us on our journey to "Excellence Always".  The position is part-time, 54 hours per pay period, three (3) days per week, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with rotating weekend call.  Position includes the Hospital's generous benefit package.

CHILDBIRTH and LACTATION EDUCATOR

Black River Memorial Hospital is seeking interested candidates to provide education including concepts of childbirth, post-partum and breastfeeding in the role of Childbirth and Lactation Educator.

The Childbirth and Lactation Educator prepares and conducts programs of childbirth and breastfeeding instruction in accordance with approved Lamaze and ICEA techniques for internal staff and the public.

Qualifications include:

  • Current Wisconsin RN License
  • BLS and NRP
  • Minimum of two years maternal and child health experience
  • IBCLC or other educational certification or ability to complete within two years of hire

OPERATING ROOM/CENTRAL PROCESSING TECHNICIAN 

Consider joining our team of professionals in an atmosphere dedicated to learning and the pursuit of excellence!   Black River Memorial Hospital is seeking an Operating Room/Central Supply Technician to assist with the care of patients in the operating room.  This individual will perform as central supply and scrub technician, assist with the role of circulator for surgery procedures and provide aspects of care as delegated by the RN.  

The position is 72 hours per pay period, benefited, day shift hours.  Qualified applicants must have completed an approved course for Operating Room/Central Supply Technician.  Applicants must be knowledgeable in current operating room/central supply principles and practices and complete BLS certification within 6 months of employment..

SOCIAL WORKER

A full-time Social Worker position is now available at Black River Memorial Hospital. This position is 80 hours per pay period with additional rotating weekend and night call. The position includes the Hospital's generous benefit package.

Duties include helping to meet the social, economic and emotional needs of patients and their families during hospitalization and provide for appropriate planning to ensure these needs are adequately met after discharge. Duties are largely performed in the Med/Surg Unit, but also respond to OB and Emergency Departments.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college, Master's Degree or university in social work or related field
  • 1-2 years related experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Current social work certification from the State of Wisconsin
