Black River Memorial Hospital opened in 1968 through funding from three sources:
The hospital operates independently with no tax dollar support and is led by a board of directors made up of local community leaders.
The hospital offers a full scope of programs and services like Diagnostic Imaging (New MRI and CT Scanner), Surgical Services, OB, Pain Clinic, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Care, Emergency and Urgent Care, Occupational Health, and B-Home, which offers homecare, hospice, and palliative care services, as well as a retail store offering home medical equipment.
Even in a constantly changing healthcare environment, our vision has remained the same: To be the healthcare provider and employer of choice in our service area.
And this is reflected in all that we do.
