Speech Language Pathology
Communication problems are caused by a variety of diseases, disorders and illnesses. Resulting problems may include speech that is difficult to understand, defects in voice quality, difficulty in word finding or sentence formation and swallowing disorders. Our speech language pathologist provides evaluation, diagnosis and counseling services to develop an individualized plan of treatment in inpatient, outpatient and home based settings.
Athletic trainers work with athletes and other populations on injury prevention, acute injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, return-to-play guidelines and sport-specific conditioning. Techniques are used to improve athletes' strength, power, speed, endurance, balance and flexibility. Outreach is provided in the Jackson County community and at Black River Falls and Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan School Districts.
