Now Playing - Mary's Hospice Story

Wayne Bryan was in the B-Home hospice program for some time. He then was switched to homecare, also a service offered by B-Home, and then transitioned back to hospice for the final 15 months of his life. During that time, Wayne found comfort and joy in the ministrations of Kevin Newell, Hospice Chaplain.

Wayne’s wife, Mary, also found Kevin to be a great comfort. Mary appreciated the care B-Home services took with Wayne, including teaching her how to best care for him. In December 2016, Wayne peacefully passed away.

Mary reflects, “Kevin would come out and he and Wayne would talk. They were also noted for playing Crazy 8’s. Wayne was always excited to have Kevin visit. He is a very nice person.” Mary also says, “We couldn’t have gotten better help. Our experience was a very positive one.”
