Samara Clark, OB RN
"On an extremely busy day on Med Surg, Samara came over to sit 1:1 with a confused patient. She offered to complete the head to toe assessment on that patient "since she was going to be there anyway." This was a big help to the Med Surg nurse assigned that patient. When the patient's family came to visit, Samara started answering call lights and helping get vitals on the other patients on Med Surg. again without being asked. She took the initiative and was an excellent team player at a time when extra help was needed."

Med/Surg & Nutrition Services
I was visiting a patient yesterday and both the patient and his wife said how well they were being treated - from the ED to Med/Surg. I happened to be in the patient's room when there was interaction with nurses and nutritional services staff. They all did their AIDET and remembered to ask, "Is there anything else I can get for you?" before they left the room. Here's a shout out to Kelly Boehm and Julie Hansen. I wish I could remember all the names of those who did an amazing job! Thank you for being so caring.

Barb and Brenda were paged to clean an outpatient room in OB. As they walked down the halls they identified a large amount of dust behind the double doors. They cleaned the room then did the entire OB department hall as it was visibly soiled. They did a thorough job and made the department look great. Thank you ladies for all of your hard work and dedication to make things so nice.

Tasha Koresh
"While on vacation in WY, I needed supplies for my CPAP machine very unexpectedly at the start of the 7day visit. I went to a local DME provider in Rock Springs, WY. To purchase the items needed, I needed a current prescription. I contacted Tasha and asked her to faxed my current prescription to the local provider. Tasha faxed the prescription in less than 15 minutes to the DME provider and I was able to get the supplies and enjoy my time in WY. She was a life saver for me. She went out of her way to help me."

They helped with the care of the patient as well as helping the patient decide to be transferred when they had been refusing. Excellent team work, great patient care. The team truly saved a life!"

"Today Nutrition Services organized a celebration for our friend Floyd. A Happy Birthday message was posted on the menu screen, they made him a cake & sang to him. Floyd said " They treat me like a king here" & he was so pleased. Floyd isn't able to get out much anymore, so this was very special. In addition to treating him like a king, they treat him like FAMILY. Your kindness was very meaningful!"

Taylor Nichols, Laundry Worker; Gary Olson, Housekeeper
"Taylor and Gary had to perform a very unpleasant job last evening. A Gentleman decided to “dab.” Dabbing is a technique to make marijuana more potent. He came in belligerent and vomited many times all over the trauma room. Although it is a part of their job in Environmental Services, it is not a glamorous one. Both Taylor and Gary came and cleaned it up without hesitation.

Taylor also helped me a few months ago when there was not a key left for me for the Nortman House. He was at Med/Surg when I came in at midnight and he helped me get a room so I could be rested for my shift in the morning."

Dr. Pinto was very attentive to her anxiety and explained step by step what they would be doing. Both Justin and Brian were awesome in their dealings with her and took extra care in reassuring her every step of the way. Brian is one of the best R.N.s I have ever encountered. "It had been a long night with critical patients and Diana Scharine, just dropped downstairs to help and she really helped me a lot. I have to point out that she has the entire floor to take care of and yet she stops to help me. Then in the morning when my replacement was not here, Dr. Boardman and Dr.Fritz pitch in to help me( really whinny by this time I must confess to my dismay) out to go home. They had just accepted a patient in admission from me and then turned around to help me."

"On Wednesday, August 1st, the scheduled ED provider did not realize that he had to work and was going to be late. Dr. Raja had had a rough night on Tuesday but stayed past her shift until we could get some coverage arranged. Dr. Fritz graciously came to the ED to work until the ED provider could arrive. He worked for several hours with a steady stream of patients. Carrie worked on getting Dr. Fritz emergently credentialed for the ED so that he could fill in. Everyone's help and teamwork was greatly appreciated."
