Mark Nordahl, Driver-Technician-HME
"What can we say? Mark is always willing to help out, even if it is after his works hours or on weekends when he is not on call. He goes out of his way to help whenever needed.
For example: Hospice Patient needing Oxygen and/or Hospital Beds for comfort, Recliners and equipment repair for patients so they do not have to go without. Even going as far as mowing a patient's lawn. Patients and Families are Thankful for Mark's immediate help in their time of need as well as his compassionate demeanor when in their homes."

Kellie Murphy, Social Worker; Diane Elvaker, Social Worker; Jen Kukuk, Social Worker
"These three ladies did an amazing job working with my family to find a placement for my dad. Going above and beyond sending out over 20 referrals, answering all of our questions - sometimes repeatedly, always willing to listen to concerns and find answers if they didn't know off the top of their head. Also, giving us handouts of information that we could read at our convenience. I cannot even imagine having to do all of that without your help!!! Thank you so much, you are greatly appreciated!"

Med/Surg
I recently evaluated an outpatient that was discharged from the Med/Surg unit earlier this month. The patient told me that his recent experience was the best care he has ever received and "much better than I deserved." This patient kindly asked me to pass along his positive experience!

"These ladies were absolutely amazing to work with in Entrance D while our elderly volunteers couldn't be here. They went so above and beyond for every patient who walked in the door and every employee who needed anything. Always so positive, happy to do whatever, flexible, and resilient to change. Just wonderful team members! Thank you, ladies, for everything you do!"

"A patient gave a really great compliment to Kristin recently and I wanted to share on her behalf: "my surgical nurse was awesome, and I felt like she was the only one who was really honest with me about what to expect, and what to do after my procedure. It was really comforting just knowing what I should/should not be feeling in such detail - I would have been lost without her during that day."

Paula Hagen, HUC; Dr. Raju, ER
"A patient was being brought in to the ED by ambulance when their family arrived. Due to the current situation, they were told they are not allowed in to be with the patient. The family became distraught. Paula and Dr. Raju came out and talked to the family members to reassure them that we would keep them updated and take the best care of the patient as possible. This was all before the patient even arrived to our ED. Paula and Dr. Raju talking to the family is above and beyond to help comfort that family."

"This happened back on June 8 but I really want her to know how much we appreciate her. She saved my husband’s life! He was med flighted out to Madison. He had necrotizing fasciitis and if it wasn't for her quick actions and recognizing that it was emergency my husband would not be here today! We love her and everyone should know how great she is."

"With the spread of COVID-19, we have started to see an influx of laboratory testing requests for our community. From the start, Trisha has worked diligently on making sure the protocols and instructions for testing are updated (they seem to change daily!). Her diligence has ensured everyone in the laboratory can serve as a resource to our hospital staff when testing is requested--we all have the tools and instructions we need to send these out for our patients. THANK YOU, TRISHA!"

"During a recent Hospice admission we were told that the Patient's Mayo Oncologist stated that "BRMH Hospice is the best around" and really sang our praises and told the family they would be in good hands.

During another Hospice admission, we were told that the Trempealeau County Coroner recommended the family to us.

Proud of our Hospice team for caring for our Patient above and beyond to the point that outside facilities recommend us."

"I received a Thank You card in the mail from the family of one of our recent Transitional Care patients that deserves to be shared with everyone as the success of our program is truly a team effort. The card states: "The family of (patient) would like to express our sincere Thank You for the care that our Dad was given during his stay. Your entire staff was thoughtful and professional. The dietitian and food service was outstanding with how they worked with our Dad on his diet and food selection. We will recommend the Transitional Care your facility provides."

Rosa Blackdeer, Med Surg Director
"My mom was having eye surgery and she had already gone upstairs and i was walking with my father upstairs. We got halfway down the long hallway by the therapy department and he said he couldn't go any further. Rosa came down the hall behind us, realized I needed help, offered to go get a wheelchair so I didn't have to leave my dad alone. He has dementia, we don't leave him by himself anymore. This made my life so much easier at that moment. She also helped me get him up to the surgical waiting area. She was AWESOME!!!"
