Witnessing Outstanding Work

Week of 8/20/18

Kristina Gilberg, Lab Unit Coordinator
"My son came into Urgent Care and was very impressed with Kristina. He stated, "she was awesome, she hit my vein on the first try and she was even standing!" He has huge veins but always has had trouble with blood draws, so he was very happy that Kristina got it the first time. He couldn't say enough good things about her. Great job Kristina! Thank you for taking such excellent care of my son."

Beth O'Brien - Nursing PCT - HUC
"Beth always has such a great attitude and is a team player. Even when things are extremely busy in the emergency department she has gone out of her way to help me print labels or call when a patient gets back. And she does it all with a smile!"

Ashlee Tylke - Nursing, RN
“I brought my mom in for breathing issues.  She was prompt in caring for her and stabilizing her.  Very amazing nurse and we are very lucky to have her in this hospital!”

Kandi Shramek - Nursing, PCT
“Very friendly, helpful with directions around the hospital, went above and beyond, by drawing a map for me to find my appointments.  Keep up the great work!  I appreciate your kindness.”

Week of 8/6/18

Kelsie Erickson, Resource Nurse
"I had a patient that needed an unscheduled C-section. I was working with a nurse that did not have much experience with C-sections, so Kelsie came over to help prep the patient. With her assistance we got the patient back to section very quickly and then she stayed in the unit to watch call lights for the other patients while I and the orientating nurse went back to the OR. Kelsie is always such a big help when we need her in OB."

Luci Bue, OB
"Luci was caring and respectful while answering questions and explaining the patient's care and medication to the family. She helped out a lot by giving the family members relief, and comfort. I am glad Luci was there and was willing to talk to the family members. Luci is a very caring person and I am glad that she is here at BRMH!"

"Thank you to the 50th Anniversary Community Picnic planning committee for a lovely evening! It was so wonderful to see the BRMH team and their families enjoying all of the events together and with the community.  I would like to acknowledge all of the planning; hard work; and hours of preparation, set-up and clean-up; that each of you gave to allow the rest of us to enjoy a fantastic evening!  Thank you very much!"

"It had been a long night with critical patients and Diana Scharine, just dropped downstairs to help and she really helped me a lot. I have to point out that she has the entire floor to take care of and yet she stops to help me. Then in the morning when my replacement was not here, Dr. Boardman and Dr.Fritz pitch in to help me( really whinny by this time I must confess to my dismay) out to go home. They had just accepted a patient in admission from me and then turned around to help me."

"On Wednesday, August 1st, the scheduled ED provider did not realize that he had to work and was going to be late. Dr. Raja had had a rough night on Tuesday but stayed past her shift until we could get some coverage arranged. Dr. Fritz graciously came to the ED to work until the ED provider could arrive. He worked for several hours with a steady stream of patients. Carrie worked on getting Dr. Fritz emergently credentialed for the ED so that he could fill in. Everyone's help and teamwork was greatly appreciated."
