Nearly everyone can agree, when it's possible, home is the best place for many patients. Home care is less costly and most people prefer to remain in the comfort of their home close to family and friends. BRMH is proud to offer its patients home-based services, including home care and hospice, to help them remain in their homes as long as possible.
B-Home Services and Supplies, located at 311 County Highway A in Black River Falls, offers homecare, hospice and palliative care services, as well as a retail store offering medical equipment and supplies like canes, walkers, compression stocking, braces, supplies for nursing mothers and much more.
Black River Memorial Hospital's Homecare program provides comprehensive healthcare services in the most comfortable setting - your home.
Whether you need homecare for a short time after surgery, accident, stroke or heart attack, or ongoing care for diabetes management, chronic disease or assistance with activities of daily living, we provide skilled and compassionate care. For more information, please call 715-284-3662.
When medical care cannot offer a cure, Black River Memorial Hospice provides care, comfort and support for people with life-limiting conditions as well as for their families.
Each individual we care for receives the personal attention of a team that includes doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, home health aides and trained volunteers. These compassionate caregivers not only ease physical pain, they also provide the psychological, social and spiritual support so desperately needed by one who is facing the end of his or her life. For more information, please call 715-284-3662.
Black River Memorial Hospital's Palliative Care program is a medical specialty that focuses on improving quality of life and providing comfort to people of all ages with serious, chronic, and life-threatening illnesses.
This program assists with symptom management, opens discussion about disease progress and improves quality of life. Palliative care is a patient-centered support system, using a team approach, for patients and families to better cope with illness and connect to community resources. The care team works in partnership with the primary care provider to ensure the best plan of care for each patient. For more information, please call 715-284-3662.
Our Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) provides 24-hour assistance for people of all ages and abilities.
A PERS device is worn around your neck or wrist, and with just the push of a button, a call is placed into the Care Center.
When the button is pushed, trained Care Center staff will ask what type of help is needed. If you are not able to answer the phone, responders, who may be family members or neighbors, are contacted and asked to check on you. The system also provides links to ambulance, police and fire, as necessary.
We offer three types of units. They consist of an in-home landline unit; in-home cellular unit for those that do not have a landline; and a mobile “on the go” device which uses cellular triangulation to pinpoint your location.
The monthly rental fee ranges from $25 to $35 depending on the type of unit needed. If you have a financial need, we may be able to assist you with the monthly charge.
