The Chartis Center for Rural Health has honored Black River Memorial Hospital (BRMH), as one of the top 100 critical access hospitals in the United States. Out of 1,350 critical access hospitals across the nation, 58 are located in Wisconsin. BRMH was one of 8 receiving this honor.

The Chartis Group represents the largest independent health care advisory firm in the nation and strives to advance and improve health care around the world. Utilizing the results of their performance index, the annual recognition program honors outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals. The index leverages publicly available data that is trusted by rural hospitals, health systems, associations, and state offices of rural health that measure and monitor performance across a variety of areas impacting hospital operations, finance, and patient care.

Mary Beth White-Jacobs, BRMH CEO stated, “We are honored to receive this recognition which celebrates our continued commitment to serving our patients with the highest level of care and compassion possible. Receiving an honor such as this reinforces our promise to our patients and our community to provide excellent care, always.”
