Raising Awareness for Mental Wellness - One Step at a Time!

The 2022 Jackson County Community Health Needs Assessment identified mental health and suicide/self-harm as two of the top three health needs impacting the health and well-being of Jackson County. In response, Black River Memorial Hospital, Ho-Chunk Nation Behavioral Health, Jackson County Health and Human Services, and Krohn Clinic combined forces to raise awareness of the life-saving importance of mental well-being in people of all ages.

The purpose of the Mental Wellness Walk-A-Thon is to deliver a meaningful experience to all participants and raise awareness of the importance of mental well-being.

The event will feature a walking track, kids’ activities, and mental wellness stations where participants will have the opportunity to engage in wellness activities such as mindful nutrition, pet therapy, positive affirmations, beginner yoga, and balancing challenges. These wellness stations and activities promote mental well-being, asking for help, and supporting a loved one who may be struggling with mental health.

The event is completely FREE and individuals of all ages are welcome to attend.

We hope you will join us to support mental wellness awareness in Jackson County, WI!
