WOUND CARE CENTER - CMA

Black River Memorial Hospital is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant in our Wound Care Center.  This position is benefited at 40 hours a pay period.  Hours for this position will be during the week Monday through Friday.  The Certified Medical Assistant oversees a variety of front office functions and is key to the smooth operation of a dynamic outpatient wound care center. This individual assists the staff of the Wound Care Center (WCC) in a dual administrative/clinical role to streamline workflow in providing effective and exceptional patient care.   

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinates with WCC leadership to maximize daily patient census.
  • Maintains all patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders.
  • Maintains standards of excellence in accordance with legal requirements and standards set forth by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the Joint Commission, policies and procedures of the organization, and scope of practice.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Certification through AAMA, CCMA, AMT (registered), ARMA, or NCMA is required within three months of hire.

We have a great new opportunity for a Registered Nurse at Black River Memorial Hospital.  Come work as a full-time Flex Pool Registered Nurse (RN).  If you like to apply your nursing skills in different environments possibly working one day in OB, the next in ER or perhaps the next on Medical Surgical unit – what an impact you can make here.  These positions will have you working in various departments including OB, ER, OR, Medical Surgical and Infusions based on patient needs.  We are looking for two Flex Pool RN’s to work 72 hours per pay period, have great benefits, the possibility to get shift differential and incentive pay. Black River Memorial Hospital’s Pharmacy has a new full-time position as a Pharmacy Technician.  This position is Monday through Friday, day shift hours, 80 hours per pay period, and comes with our great benefits package. Under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, this position performs assigned duties in support of the Pharmacy Department with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and patient safety. 

Essential Duties:

  • Manages hospital medication inventory, including ordering, stocking/organizing to prevent mis-picks/medication errors, rotating stock to minimize expired products, proactively responding to drug shortages, and maintaining appropriate stock levels of formulary medications.
  • Manages PYXIS inventory, including accurate selection and loading of medications, evaluates medication use trends to maintain appropriate par levels, ensures removal of expired/damaged products in a timely manner, and resolves discrepancies.
  • Assists with occasional retail Pharmacy duties including employee prescription filling and Hospice patient prescription preparation.
  • Ensures the cleanroom suites are cleaned and maintained per organizational policy and procedure (IV Room Cleaning). USP 797, USP 800, and state and federal regulations.

Educational Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician and/or current enrollment in a pharmacy tech program.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification by examination within one (1) year of employment.

CT-X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST

Black River Memorial Hospital has an opening for a Diagnostic Imaging CT/Radiologic Technologist. This is a part-time benefitted position working 64 hours per pay period, which includes a rotation of every 3rd weekend and every 3rd Thursday. This position is a mix of evenings and nights. The Diagnostic Imaging Radiologic Technologist performs radiology examinations following hospital and radiology standards when ordered by a physician or other allied health practitioners for diagnostic purposes as directed by the Radiologist.

  • Performs radiographic and CT exams on patients.  Provides the best images possible to radiologist and providers for interpretation. 
  • Provides high quality service to customers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Communicates pertinent patient information promptly to appropriate technologist and/or radiologist.
  • Demonstrates knowledge, skill and accuracy in the operation and maintenance of all department equipment.

Education Requirements:

  • Collaborates with Wound Care Center Coordinator and Medical Director to achieve Would Care Center quality indicators.
  • Provides appropriate infection control measures.

  • Uses safe methods when handling chemicals and cleaning solutions in daily work practices.

Educational Qualifications Include:
