Black River Memorial Hospital (BRMH) and B-Home Services and Supplies are offering a new option for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one by hosting a monthly grief support group. Previously, support groups met weekly for six weeks; this new format will be once a month for four consecutive months and may be continued based on community interest. The program will begin Tuesday, May 25, and will be held at B-Home Services and Supplies, 311 County Highway A, Black River Falls. Meetings will run from 3-4:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend; however, registration is required.
Sessions will provide participants the chance to meet and share their stories with others who are feeling the same sense of loss. “In times of grief, people need someone to help them sort out all the feelings they experience,” said Kevin Newell, BRMH Hospice chaplain. “We are here to help in this process by providing tools to help them move forward.”
Face masks will be required, and social distancing and extra sanitizing procedures will be in place. To register, call 715-284-3662.
