Black River Memorial Hospital (BRMH) today announced that it received a 2019 Excellence in Patient Care Award from Huron’s Studer Group business. The award was presented at the 17th annual What’s Right in Healthcare conference on August 14, in Dallas, TX. BRMH was recognized for achieving a ranking at or above the 90th percentile in their communication with doctors for patients discharged in 2018.
Excellence in Patient Care Awards are presented annually to a select group of partner organizations from Huron’s Studer Group business. The results were measured by the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) patient survey. This survey is required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Organizations received awards based on demonstrating overall improvement in areas such as patient satisfaction, and employee and physician engagement.
Providers were honored recently with the Excellence in Patient Care award for ranking at or above the 90th percentile in doctor/patient satisfaction in communication.
