Black River Memorial Hospital (BRMH) continues to adapt its response to the COVID-19 pandemic based on guidelines from the CDC, Wisconsin Department of Public Health Services, and Jackson County Public Health. As reported in recent news, the current public health emergency was overturned by the Wisconsin State Supreme Court which ended the mask mandate. Although the mandate was lifted, BRMH will continue requiring masks for all employees, patients, and visitors. BRMH Infection Prevention Nurse, Julia Smith stated, “As a healthcare facility, we have a responsibility to keep our community, patients, and workforce safe. The added precaution of wearing masks give us an advantage over a possible increase in the number of COVID cases.”
Patient visiting hours are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and all visitors will be screened at the door until further notice. For more information about activities and services provided at BRMH, visit brmh.net or call 715-284-5361.
