Black River Memorial Hospital (BRMH) and B-Home Services and Supplies are now offering two options for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. A six-week program is geared to those who have had a recent loss and offers an in-depth exploration on how to cope. A monthly support group is also available, meant for anyone at any stage of the grieving process. These sessions are an open discussion where you can meet others who feel a similar sense of loss.
The intensive six-week program begins on Thursday, September 30th, from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and will continue weekly until November 4th. The monthly Grief Support Group meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
All sessions will be held at B-Home Services and Supplies, 311 County Highway A, Black River Falls. There is no cost to attend; however, registration is requested.
Sessions will provide participants the chance to meet and share their stories with others who are feeling overwhelming or confusing emotions. “Coping with a loss is different for everyone,” said Kevin Newell, BRMH Hospice chaplain. “We are here to help in this process by providing tools to help them move forward.”
Face masks and social distancing will be required, and extra sanitizing procedures will be in place. To learn more or register, please visit brmh.net/grief or call 715-284-3662.
